The Vidarbha Journal of Internal Medicine (VJIM) is an open-access peer-reviewed journal committed to publishing high-quality articles in the field of Allergy And Immunology, Cardiology (heart diseases), Endocrinology (Hormone Disorders), Hematology (Blood Disorders), Infectious Diseases, Gastroenterology (Diseases Of The Gut), Nephrology (Kidney Diseases), Oncology (Cancer), Pulmonology (Lung Disorders), And Rheumatology. The journal is owned by the Association of Physicians of India – Vidarbha Chapter, India and published by the Scientific Scholar.

Aims & Scope

It is an official publication of Association of Physicians of India, Vidarbha chapter. The journal, popularly known as VJIM is a Premier Medical Journal in Vidarbha. It is published on behalf of Association of Physicians of India, Vidarbha Chapter, which has approximately 700 memberships presently, consisting of Physicians & Specialists in various branches of Internal Medicine in Vidarbha region.

The Journal considers for publications manuscripts, suitable as original papers, brief reports, reviews, case reports, letters to the editor, selected summaries from important articles published elsewhere, calendar of conferences, and other special category articles of interest to the physician. The editorial board specially encourages submission of rare case reports, presented in the various clinical meetings of all other affiliated chapters of API. After appraisal and preliminary selection by the Editor in chief, the articles are peer-reviewed by senior members of the stream and corrections modifications are conveyed to the authors. After satisfaction about the quality of the content, the articles are selected for publication in the journal. The journal is found extremely useful to the Clinicians, Teachers and Postgraduate Students of Medicine as a source of updating themselves in the state of art Practice of Medicine and Recent Advances.

Our audience includes researchers from the field of Medical, Dental, and All Allied Health Sciences.

VJIM has a highly rigorous peer-review process that makes sure that manuscripts are scientifically accurate, relevant, novel and important. Authors disclose all conflicts, affiliations and financial associations such that the published content is not biased.

The editorial board comprises a panel of experts from various disciplines of medical and allied sciences to provide their expertise and guidance in maintaining the clarity of content and focus of the purpose for the journal.

The journal uses plagiarism check software (iThenticate) on the Editor’s and Reviewer’s panel in the manuscript management system which is used to check and control Plagiarism for each article. Any manuscript, that is found to have plagiarism is rejected.

Articles published online under the Ahead of Print model are considered published and can be cited and quoted using the DOI as the reference source. Vidarbha Journal of Internal Medicine has a policy that changes will not be made after the publication of an article without following accepted procedures for making corrections to the scientific record.
